Refund Policy

Socratic Heuristic is sold through Paddle, our authorised reseller and merchant of record. All purchases are subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms and Paddle's Refund Policy. In the event of any conflict between this page and Paddle's policies, Paddle's policies shall prevail.

1. General Refund Policy

Unless required by applicable law, all transactions are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Paddle may issue refunds on a discretionary basis or if you exercise an applicable statutory withdrawal or refund right (see Section 2 below).

Refunds will not be issued where there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or other manipulative behaviour. If you receive a refund, access to Socratic Heuristic will cease.

2. Statutory Withdrawal Rights

Where local consumer protection laws grant unconditional withdrawal rights, those rights apply and override any other terms. The following country-specific rules apply:

  • EU / EEA / Switzerland / UK: Consumers have a 14-day statutory right to withdraw and receive a full refund. This right does not apply if you have started downloading, streaming, or using the product and gave express consent to waive your withdrawal rights.
  • Turkey / Israel: Consumers have a 14-day statutory right to withdraw and receive a full refund.
  • South Korea / Brazil / China / Canada: Consumers have a 7-day unconditional right to cancel and receive a full refund.
  • Singapore: Consumers have a 5-day unconditional right to cancel and receive a full refund.

3. Discretionary Refunds

Paddle may, at its sole discretion, issue a refund if a request is submitted within 14 days of the transaction date. Submission of a request within this period does not guarantee a refund. All requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

4. Technical or Product Defects

If you experience persistent technical issues or a material defect that prevents you from accessing the features or benefits as described, please contact us first. If the issue cannot be resolved, contact Paddle's support team and provide details of the issue together with any response received from us. A refund may be issued in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund or exercise your statutory withdrawal rights, you can:

  • Use the "View receipt" or "Manage subscription" link in your transaction confirmation email
  • Visit paddle.net and select the "Request refund" option

If eligible, refunds will be processed using the same payment method where possible, within 14 days of approval.

6. Subscriptions and Cancellations

You can cancel a subscription at any time to prevent future billing. The cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period, and no further payments will be taken. You can cancel through Paddle's Buyer portal accessible via the link in your subscription confirmation email, or by visiting paddle.net.
